- Depressed Mood : A person may feel "unhappy" or "hollow", and may cry often. Children and adolescents may even exhibit irritability.)
- Decreased Interesest or Pleasure : A person may show evidently reduced interest or pleasure in all daily activities.
- Weight Changes : Substantial variations in weight when not attempting to gain or lose
- Sleep Disturbances : Such as insomnia or sleeping to much
- Psychomotor Agitation or Retardation : The person may be observed to be either agitated and restless or physically slowed down in their movements
- Fatigue
- Feelings of Whortlessness or Guilt : People may feel that they have no value or they may feel inappropriately guilty about things they have no control over.
